The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Lanao del Sur, conducted the 2023–2025 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) Dissemination Forum on 08 October 2026 at Curly Frost, Marawi City. The forum served as a venue for the presentation of the province’s economic performance, with Lanao del Sur’s economy recording a 2.7 percent growth in 2025.
The activity was attended by representatives from regional line agencies, the academe, media, private firms, and other government agencies, as well as provincial planners and policymakers. It was conducted in line with the PSA’s mandate to provide timely, accurate, and relevant statistical information to the public and to support planners, policymakers, and other data users in assessing the overall performance of the economy.
The presentation showed that the Gross Provincial Domestic Product (GPDP) was valued at PhP 80.78 billion in 2025, up from PhP 78.63 billion in 2024 and PhP 75.20 billion in 2023, at constant 2018 prices. Despite the increase, the province’s 2.7 percent growth in 2025 was slower than the 4.6 percent growth recorded in 2024.
Among the industries, Public administration and defense; compulsory social security recorded the fastest growth at 15.9 percent. This was followed by Financial and insurance activities at 14.8 percent and Human health and social work activities at 13.6 percent.
Other industries that posted positive growth were Education at 11.9 percent; Transportation and storage at 9.5 percent; Information and communication at 6.5 percent; Other services at 5.2 percent; Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles at 4.7 percent; Professional and business services at 2.73 percent; Manufacturing at 2.65 percent; Agriculture, forestry, and fishing at 2.0 percent; Real estate and ownership of dwellings at 1.1 percent; and Accommodation and food service activities at 0.6 percent.
Meanwhile, three industries recorded declines: Electricity, steam, water and waste management at -7.4 percent; Construction at -20.8 percent; and Mining and quarrying at -26.9 percent.
