The Final Provincial Joint Security Control Center (PJSCC) Coordinating Conference was convened on September 5, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol, Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur, in preparation for the historic September 14, 2026 First BARMM Parliamentary Elections.
Spearheaded by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Maguindanao del Sur, under the leadership of Atty. Allan Kadon, Provincial Election Director, the gathering brought together AFP contingents led by Police Gen. Gremel Brual, Commander, 601st Infantry Brigade, and Brigadier Omar Orozco,Commander, Mechanized Brigade, alongside Police Col. Michael John Mangahis of MDSPPO with his Provincial Staff, Chiefs of Police, Police Major John Van Langkit of SAF, Election Officers, and other government partners to finalize all security arrangements and operational protocols.
Security updates and operational preparations were presented by the PNP, AFP, and partner agencies, followed by a comprehensive discussion of critical issues, concerns, and contingency measures across the province. Special messages and guidance from key officials underscored the collective resolve to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and ensure the safety of voters, candidates, and polling centers.
PCOL MANGAHIS highlighted MDSPPO’s provincial security posture and final deployment plans, aligning police operations with regional and national directives. He emphasized synchronized inter‑agency coordination, strict adherence to the GPH‑MILF Ceasefire Guidelines, and the activation of all security mechanisms to safeguard the electoral process. The conference concluded with a unified commitment from all agencies to secure every polling station, protect every vote, and guarantee a peaceful, orderly, and transparent 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections for the people of Maguindanao del Sur.
