Koronadal City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office (DSWD FO) XII, through its KALAHI-CIDSS Regional Program Management Office, convened partner agencies to formalize the Regional Steering Committee (RSC) and Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) for the implementation of the Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) in SOCCSKSARGEN.

The project will be implemented in eight target municipalities across the region. Each municipality will receive an allocation of ₱50 million for community-prioritized resilience subprojects designed to strengthen disaster preparedness and climate resilience.

Assistant Regional Director for Operations Bonifacio V. Selma Jr. emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, “The Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project demonstrates that resilience cannot be achieved by a single agency alone. Through stronger partnerships, shared expertise, and a unified commitment, we can empower our communities to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from future challenges.”

During the meeting, partner agencies were oriented on the project’s implementation framework and the Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach. The event also featured the signing of a Manifesto of Support, reaffirming the agencies’ commitment to convergence and the successful execution of the PCRP.

As the newest modality of KALAHI-CIDSS, the PCRP aims to build community capacity and expand access to resilient investments in vulnerable communities across SOCCSKSARGEN.
